About Arnold da Silva
Arnold was born in the former Portuguese Colony of Macau and raised in Hong Kong. After completing his university studies, he spent the first few years of his working life in the fascinating ocean shipping industry in Hong Kong before migrating to Vancouver, Canada. Once there, Arnold soon joined Schenker, starting first as a sales executive with an annual portfolio of only a few hundred ocean containers moving on small container ships carrying about 1500 twenty-foot equivalents (TEUs). Today, after rising through various positions within Schenker, Arnold and his team now have a portfolio of several hundred thousand containers, along with a new and expanded role for the combined organization of Schenker/BAX as the Americas Regional V.P. for the Ocean Product. Today, the containers under Arnold's care now move on a new generation of container ships, some carrying as much as 13,500 TEUs. |
